Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using FinCalcPro

Are these calculators accurate?

Yes. Every calculator uses standard financial formulas — the same ones used by banks, financial advisors, and investment platforms. Results update in real time as you type.

Which currencies are supported?

All 12 major global currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, INR, JPY, CAD, AUD, CHF, CNY, SGD, AED, and BRL. Switch currencies instantly on any calculator.

Do I need to sign up or pay?

What is compound interest and why does it matter?

Compound interest is earning interest on interest. A ₹10,000 investment at 10% annually becomes ₹25,937 after 10 years — not ₹20,000. That extra ₹5,937 comes from compounding. It is the single most powerful force in personal finance.

How is EMI calculated?

EMI = P × r × (1+r)ⁿ / ((1+r)ⁿ − 1), where P is the loan principal, r is the monthly interest rate, and n is the number of monthly installments. Our EMI calculator does this instantly.

What is a good mortgage rate?

This depends on the country, loan type, and credit score. In the US, 30-year fixed rates have historically ranged 3–8%. In India, home loan rates typically range 8.5–10.5%. Our Mortgage Calculator works for any rate.

What is CAGR and how is it different from ROI?

ROI is your total return over the full period. CAGR converts that into an annualized rate, making it easy to compare investments over different time horizons. A 100% ROI in 2 years is 41.4% CAGR; in 10 years it is only 7.2% CAGR.

How much should I save for retirement?

A common rule is to replace 70–80% of your pre-retirement income. Our Retirement Calculator computes the exact corpus you need based on your current age, expected retirement age, monthly expenses, and return assumptions.

What is the difference between SIP and lumpsum investing?

SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) invests a fixed amount monthly — it averages out market volatility through rupee-cost averaging. Lumpsum invests a large amount at once. Both strategies are modeled in our SIP Calculator.

Do these calculators work on mobile?

Yes. All calculators are fully mobile-responsive and work on any device without installing an app.
